On our first trip to Glastonbury, we stopped for an early coffee. The coffee was really good—not too bitter and the perfect strength. We also sampled their delicious toasted gf banana bread. We both enjoyed the rear garden and appreciated the dog water bowl for our Lab.
This used to be my favourite Glastonbury cafe.But the last few times I've visited I've been disappointed. Service is good and coffee is fine but the place has no atmosphere, and it feels cold. Some quiet background music would help.. Most recent visit Feb '25, happy to say its much improved under new management . A bit of background music makes such a difference. Great coffee and good service. They just need to get the Somerset apple cake back on the menu!
We had lunch one afternoon and went back for breakfast the next day. Really nice feel about the space, generous and well cooked food and lovely staff and owners.
Lovely cafe in the heart of Glastonbury. Dogs welcome, babies too! The food is really tasty and freshly prepared - we had the poached eggs on toast and a smoked bacon roll - both of which were excellent. The coffee was good, was nice to see a fern on top of my latte, only thing is the coffee was a little too large for me - a little too similar in size of what the coffee chains offer.
Loved breakfast here! It’s really fast and cozy and the beverages are delicious too! I got the Vegetarian Full English and a hot chai tea with some vanilla syrup on the side which I highly recommend. I ate here with some friends and sat outside and it was very relaxing.
With so many dining options in Glastonbury, we were drawn to Hungry Monkeys by its fun, quirky name, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! After a quick look at the menu and prices, we were genuinely impressed. The dishes are not only well-priced but also beautifully prepared and absolutely mouth-watering. A real standout for quality and value. Special kudos to the lovely team who took such good care of us. There was a slight delay with our food, and they were kind enough to apologise and offer complimentary tea, coffee, and cake as a goodwill gesture. We accepted the coffee but insisted on paying for dessert - it was worth every penny! The food here is clean, healthy, and made with care. Super friendly service, great atmosphere, and truly excellent value. Please support this gem of a café - you won’t regret it!

The food is always fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, and the coffee is excellent. What really keeps us coming back is the atmosphere. It’s warm, welcoming, and relaxed, with friendly staff who always make us feel at home. Whether we’re stopping in for a quick breakfast or taking our time over a meal, the experience is consistently outstanding. A fantastic independent café and a real gem in Glastonbury.
